Our Story

From a single drum roaster to your morning ritual

Ember & Oak started in a corner of a Portland warehouse with one secondhand roaster and a stubborn belief that great coffee should taste like the place it came from. We still roast in small batches, by hand, building each profile until it sings. No shortcuts, no burnt edges — just honest, expressive coffee.

We buy small, traceable lots from farmers who share our obsession with quality.

02 — Roast

Each batch is roasted by hand on a vintage drum, profiled to bring out its character.

03 — Rest & Ship

Beans rest to peak flavor, then ship within 48 hours of roasting.
